I hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s in library science. I have been in education for over 20 years. I have always loved to read and encouraged my students to do so as well. This led me to return to the University of Alabama in 2006-2007 to fulfill a lifelong dream to become a librarian. For the last six years, I have served as the librarian for both Thompson and Donehoo Elementary Schools. I have been married to my high school sweetheart (Jeff) for the last 33 years. We have two children (Kristen and Josh) and two grandchildren (Aubrey and Addison).
Counselor
Tiffany Sayles

Hello, my name is Tiffiany Sayles. Since I can remember, I have always had a gift in listening and talking to others about their problems and goals. I graduated from Grambling State Univeristy in 2000 with my B.A. in Psychology and in 2003 from
Jacksonville State Univeristy with my Master Degree in Counseling. I have enjoyed working as a counselor since that time. I have been a school counselor for the past seven years but fell in love with the students at Thompson Elementary. I enjoy every minute seeing lives transform before my eyes. I am also blessed with a wonderful husband, Willie, and we have been given the awesome opportunity to parent three beautiful girls. I truly love my career and how I am growing and learning with our children at Thompson.
